Domestic Violence Support

Fleeing intimate partner violence shouldn’t mean facing impossible hurdles or choosing between homelessness and an abuser. As the only domestic violence transitional housing program in the Greater Wichita area, we provide survivors and their children with up to two years of safe, affordable housing. This is more than just a roof over your head; it’s a supportive space to heal, catch your breath, and build a life of independence and peace.

Support services including one-on-one advocacy, support groups, direct assistance, and more are available to any survivor who needs them, including those who do not reside at StepStone.

Transitional Housing

Leaving an abusive relationship is a massive milestone, but finding a steady place to land shouldn’t be an impossible hurdle. StepStone provides a safe, stable home for you and your children for up to two years. This is far more than just a roof over your head—it is a supportive space that gives you the safety, peace, and time to heal, plan for the future, and reclaim your independence.

You don’t have to do this alone. We walk alongside you with free, on-site resources like therapy and welcoming support groups to help break the cycle of abuse, while dedicated advocates stand by your side to help navigate paperwork and safety planning. We help you take charge of your life and smoothly transition into permanent housing. This is support without judgment, helping you build a foundation for lasting stability.
